Energizing or sleepy?

Sleepy. “Sleepy” is the effect Leafly users report most, Leafly rates Northern Lights mostly calming, and Weedmaps says longtime users often mention sleepiness.1,3

Crosses that carry the name can feel different: Leafly users describe Sensi Seeds’ 70% sativa Northern Lights #5 × Haze as energetic, focused and talkative, so the full product name matters (see genetics).7

Why two batches can feel different

Potency alone varies widely: one in ten lab-tested batches came in under 13.99% THC and one in ten above 24.96%.8 Leafly’s history says the lineage began to blur once the original plants were selectively bred and backcrossed in the Netherlands, and seed versions today range from Sensi Seeds’ 90% indica line to Royal Queen Seeds’ 100% indica S1 and autoflowering crosses with ruderalis.4,5,9,10
